On Tuesday evening Southwood School attended the Citizens:MK Accountability at Christ the Cornerstone . Our representatives were the Y5and 6 School Councillors.

Launched in 2010, Citizens:MK is a growing alliance of community groups – churches, mosques, schools, unions and community associations – working together for a fairer Milton Keynes.  At the assembly politicians make promises for the following year and are held to account for their previous year’s pledges. Our representatives tackled Councillor Marland, who is the leader of the Council about parking outside of  Southwood. The good news is that he kept all of his promises. We were very impressed at how our pupils stood up confidently and spoke clearly in front of the 200+people who were present.
